A high-level process map is a visual representation that outlines the main steps and interactions of a process, capturing its key elements and flow without getting into super intricate details.
High-level process maps are used to get a simplified overview and understanding of the key steps in a process. The finer details are omitted to keep focus on the essentials. This is often used in Six Sigma.
These are great for managers, higher-ups or external stakeholders who need to understand a process but don't need to know the details of every single step.
Focus on simplicity and only documenting the core steps that get you from the beginning to the end.
